Painted Pumpkins

Painted Pumpkin... nice alliteration, ehh? We were just talking about those the other day in school... anyway- on to the craft!

I bought 3 pumpkins from the Dollar tree (woowoo!)
They needed to be painted....even the orange one. It was spotty, and very uneven. I just used regular craft paint..and applied it with a sponge brush. Like my cardboard box painting area? Nice, isn't it?
Cut out some Halloween shapes out of vinyl. Use the outside part as a stencil. Press firmly. I had trouble getting mine to stick well- guessing this is due to the roundness (is that a word?) of the pumpkin. Fill in the stencil with black craft paint. Remove the Stencil...
After they dried, I sprayed mine with a gloss spray- they were very ugly dull....MUCH better after this step! (bought mine at Michael's)
I added ribbon around my white pumpkin.... and a little dog hair too. oops. Fold the ribbon in half and stick a pin through the folded end.
Gracie Bear- supplier of dog hair. Isn't she cute?!

K, back to the project- Stick the pin into the pumpkin (as close to the base of the stem as possible).
Ta-Da!
